Wire and Cable Operations

WTEC Energy operates the industry’s newest, most sophisticated manufacturing and quality inspection equipment at our U.S. based 50-acre operational headquarters in Milton, FL.  With four facilities totaling over 600K square feet (SF) of indoor manufacturing space, we have the scalability and  flexibility to meet all your wire and cable needs. We currently manufacture over 50 million feet of quality cable annually, with planned production line and facility expansions in 2020.

WTEC Energy’s investment in our manufacturing, quality inspection equipment and testing protocols ensure high-quality wire and cable product to the customer’s precise specifications every time. We are one of the few cable manufacturers in North America that employs the Taymer Optical Imager. The Taymer Optical Imager provides a 360-degree cable optical image of moving cable during manufacturing, significantly reducing defects. All medium voltage CV and thermoset lines have Sikora 8000 X-ray machines installed, which provide real time monitoring on diameter and thickness at CV extrusion during manufacturing. Our 10,000 square foot clean room provides a pollutant-free environment, while our Satake Pellet Analyzer identifies and removes any defective insulating pellets using optical technology.

Our Quality Management System (QMS) and quality control protocols are aligned with industry standards. We have adopted ASTM International standards for material and production compliance. WTEC Energy has been ISO 9001:2008 certified since 2010, and ISO 9001:2015 certified since 2017.

Steel Operations

Our in-house steel production, fabrication, logistics and installation services ensure we meet your project requirements, whether it be a complete solar farm project or a specific component of that project. We also manufacture custom steel pieces for racking and tracker systems.

With four strategically located steel operating locations in North America, WTEC Energy Steel has the capacity and flexibility to minimize the production time required to turn raw steel beams into a fabricated and galvanized finished product.  With a total of 14 production lines, we currently furnish over 200,000 tons of steel per year to the U.S. solar market.
